It provides a look at the cultural touchstones that shape the lives of students entering college. The List is shared with faculty and with thousands who request it each year as the school year begins, as a reminder of the rapidly changing frame of reference for this new generation.

Donna HusonCounseling Center Biola UniversityWork ext. 4800Donna Huson has accepted the position of Staff Psychologist for the Biola Counseling Center. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Donna lives in Irvine with her husband, Jerry, who is a former Biola employee. The couple attends Mariners Church in Irvine where Donna serves as a peer counselor consultant. The Husons have two adult daughters, Kirstee and Lindsay, and a grandson, Tyler (2). Donna earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from Rosemead and currently serves the school as an adjunct professor. In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time with her grandson. -
Annie LeeAccounting Department Biola UniversityWork ext. 4760Annie Lee has accepted the position of Receptionist for the Accounting department. Born in Los Angeles, Annie has lived locally in Garden Grove since childhood. She attends Cornerstone International Christian Church in La Puente, where she serves as a Sunday school teacher for high school students. A recent Biola graduate, Annie received a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education in May of 2008 and served as a student employee in the accounting department while completing her degree. For fun, Annie enjoys playing board games and going to the movies. -
Mallory OlivarezOffice of the Registrar Biola UniversityWork ext. 5231Mallory Olivarez has accepted the part-time position of Registration Assistant for the Office of the Registrar. Born and raised in Roland Heights, Mallory and her husband of one year, Ricky, will be moving to Brea at the end of September. The couple recently began attending Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa. Mallory is a recent Biola graduate, having earned a B.A. in English with an emphasis in writing in May of 2008. While a student at Biola, Mallory wrote for the Ink Slinger and was a member of the English Guild. For fun, Mallory enjoys reading, baking, and kayaking. -
Holly Vander WallTorrey Academy Biola UniversityWork ext. 5372Holly Vander Wall has accepted the part-time position of Academic Coordinator for the Torrey Academy. She was born in Tennessee and lived in Colorado before settling in Southern California. As a high school student, she was enrolled in the Torrey Academy where she was introduced to Biola and the Torrey Honors Institute. She plans to continue her pursuit of a B.A. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Speech/Drama from Biola in the fall of 2009. In her free time, Holly enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and writing. -
Danna RemillardAcademic Advising Biola UniversityWork ext. 4782Danna Remillard has accepted the position of Bible Bridge & Academic Advising Coordinator for the Academic Advising department. Born and raised in Southern California, Danna lives in Laguna Hills and attends Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa. She earned a B.A. in English from Biola in May of 2008. While studying at Biola, Danna spent a semester abroad in London and also worked in Smart Stop. In her free time, Danna enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking, as well as reading fiction. -
Jessica AbsherEnr. Mgmt/Data Services Biola UniversityWork ext. 3815Jessica Absher has accepted the position of Manager of Undergraduate Data Services for Enrollment Management/Data Services. She lives in Anaheim and attends Saddleback Valley Community Church in Lake Forest where she leads a small group of high school-aged girls. Jessica graduated from Biola in May of 2006 with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Education with an emphasis in teaching at Biola. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
